BROADWAY PERFORMER, VOICEOVER ACTOR, TEACHER.
Marcus’s love for singing began as a young child singing solos at church in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. That love grew over the years through participation in local youth theatre, show choir, professional productions, and eventually studying Musical Theatre at Baldwin Wallace University. Not long after graduating, Marcus's journey took him to Agrabah, as he would star as the Genie on the North American Tour of Disney's Aladdin for 2 years and over 500 performances. After tour, Martin joined the Broadway company as a Genie standby, where he remains today. On television, Marcus has been seen in a recurring role on season 3 of Power Book II: Ghost, and on ABC’s Schoolhouse Rock 50th Anniversary special. As a teacher, Marcus has had the honor of teaching Audition Masterclasses all over the country. With each class, Marcus aims to empower young people through the gift of storytelling.
